Reinstate all provisions of the Environmental Bill of Rights

Did you know on April 3 there was a decision to suspend Ontario’s Environmental Bill of Rights (EBR) as a COVID-19 emergency measure?

The EBR is the main tool for the public to find out about and participate in decision-making related to projects that may affect water, land, air and wildlife.

This suspension could allow projects or laws to move forward that could damage the environment without consulting or notifying the public. Industry and developers should not have the opportunity to push through projects without environmental scrutiny.
