Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Wellington Water Watchers.
Below are volunteer opportunities available!
Please use the checklist below or email email@example.com to let us know how you'd like to help out.
1. Volunteer to table at Public Events
There are many events at which Wellington Water Watchers will be tabling to help spread our message that Water is for Life, Not Profit. If you are available to sign up for this please email us! It is always important to maintain a strong presence in our community.
Please email firstname.lastname@example.org
2. Volunteers for Blog-Writing
We are looking for volunteers to write content for our blog. If you have an interest in writing, and getting more information out about Nestlé, water protection, and other "Water for Life Not for Profit" topics, or if you want to attend 2Rivers Festival and/or Wellington Water Watchers events, and write about the event--we would love to hear from you!
Please email email@example.com if you are interested in writing content for the blog.
3. Administrative Volunteer
We have an immediate need for an administrative volunteer to help on Wednesday or Friday on an ongoing regular basis.
If you have strong computer, organizational and written communication skills, we could really use your help!
Please contact Arlene Slocombe for more information or to volunteer! firstname.lastname@example.org
4. WANTED: DATA SHARKS!
Do you have computer skills you could put to use?
Want to support and be involved with Wellington Water Watchers? Come volunteer and join the Data Sharks!
Who are we? We are a small group of volunteers who have taken up the challenge of better leveraging Wellington Water Watchers’ online Community Infrastructure: Nation Builder.
Nation Builder is a powerful and dynamic CRM (Customer Relationship Management) that forms the data nerve centre for WWW. It allows us to build Grass Roots support through communication with volunteers, donors, social media followers, etc., along with a lot of other functions that we are still learning about.
Beginning in September, we will meet on a weekly basis and we will be responsible for the effective and efficient operation of Nation Builder for WWW.
Who are we looking for? There is currently a need for two types of positions:
- Members who have Data Management experience to join us in becoming familiar with the tool and navigating the system. We meet on a weekly basis in Guelph.
- Data entry and data cleanup. This is a very straightforward task, you will be provided with clear instructions on how to enter new supporters into the system, or how to clean up existing data and profiles. This can be done from home at a time that is convenient for you.
If you are interested in signing up for the Data Sharks or if you would like Catherine or Stef to contact you with more information, please email email@example.com and we will contact you soon.
